A life of it's own

 

Rebecca Cabassa is an abstract artist living in Northern Gulf Coast of Florida with her family. She was educated in Interior Design at Florida State University and worked in the residential field for many years.

 

 

She has always been inspired by Homes, Antiques and Art. She fell in love with painting the first time she decided to paint the perfect piece of art that she'd imagined for her clients’s home. 

"Often, there is a wonderful moment in my painting experience, where I find myself lost between intentional strokes and what the Painting itself wants to reveal. Suddenly, I can see it. When this happens, I can’t help but scream or clap. At which point, my Son will come around the corner and rolls his eyes! My Daughter (also creative) on the other hand, is never phased!"

"There's no doubt that a love of Design, (including Home, Furniture, and Fashion) informs my Artwork. I believe that all Artists Visually absorb their surroundings in a Unique way. They see and feel the “effect” of the details; like scale, shape, medium, color, patina, character etc... This allows us to Visualize the puzzle and even the “unseen“ or eventual Outcome. Despite differences in personal preference or taste."
